Welcome summer time.

Hello everyone, we apologize for the lack of updating our website. But as you can see we are still here. We would like to thank all of our patrons that have been with us since we started & we would like to welcome anybody new.

The weather in the area has been a bit off. A lot of people, including us, have been subjected to still heating the home at the end of May & the first part of June. I’ve had to scrape a heavy frost off my vehicle in the morning the first couple of days in June.

The large garden that we have has grown about 3” and then it was hit with moderate frost and then again with a light frost within a few days of each other. Some plants made it fine & others got knocked back a bit but everything seems alright at this current point.

The chickens are doing well. Our flock has expanded since last fall, we had adopted 19 light Brahma hens & an Old English Rooster. Everybody has adjusted well and egg production is good. We get 4 to 5 dozen eggs per day now. This brings our total egg count this year to 14,924 eggs, being 1,233.2 dozen. And all of it was washed and packed by hand, as we always do.

Our eggs go through an eight step process before they are sold to the public.

We do our egg prep from start to ready for sale to the public, by the regulations of the Maine Department of Agriculture food quality assurance.  We, under regulations, do not sell our eggs in used cartons that have any other company info on them, we just simply do not use any form of used cartons to sell our eggs. Our cartons weigh as much if not more than what is stamped on it. Our expiration dates are clearly marked & our company information is clearly shown on each and every carton we sell.

Our eggs can be kept & used by the customer for longer than what we stamp on the carton for an expiration date. We give a 45 day freshness time frame (expiration date). We never sell eggs from our farm if they have been in our possession for longer than a week. If the eggs go past the 7 day possession period, we then put them through a dehydration and pulverizing process to make powdered eggs.

every thing pertaining to the Chicken Strips is copyright & registered as a NVF trademark. All Chicken Strips Items are one of a kind and each item comes with a certificate. It will all be added very soon so keep a close eye on the site.

There will be a Tab located to the left that will say( Chicken Strips ) this is not a food item so please dont click on the tab in hopes of some chicken meal, HAHA.

There is updates for each Tab for items sold per that page, some new items, discount items, free items, and photos. I will be doing updates and add on's all month long & thru the remainder of 2008 so check back often.
